Weaver, Michael D

(1961-1998) US writer whose Mercedes Nights (1987) and My Father, Immortal (1989), are sf but who also wrote the Wolf-Dreams sequence: Wolf-Dreams (1987), Nightreaver (1988) and Bloodfang (1989), all assembled as Wolf-Dreams (omni 1989 UK). Set in a Land-of-Fable Europe and North America, the sequence features the adventures of a lesbian Werewolf swordsperson – who undergoes Metamorphosis into a great white wolf whenever enraged – in various Sword-and-Sorcery adventures, with many complications.
