Reid, Forrest

(1876-1947) Irish writer, author of studies of two close friends, William Butler Yeats and Walter de La Mare. His most famous novel is Peter Waring (1937). Of genre interest are Pender Among the Residents (1922), a Supernatural Fiction about a house haunted by an unresolved scandal (> Haunted Dwellings), and Demophon: A Traveller's Tale (1927), which invokes the pagan Gods.
