Moon, Elizabeth

(1945-    ) US writer whose experience of service in the Marine Corps provided some under-girding for her Deed of Paksenarrion series of otherworldly fantasies about a saintly female warrior (> Military Fantasy): Sheepfarmer's Daughter (1988), Divided Allegiance (1988), Oath of Gold (1989), the prequel Surrender None: The Legacy of Gird (1990) and the follow-up Liar's Oath (1992); The Deed of Paksenarrion (all texts rev, omni 1992) assembles the first three titles. EM has also written some sf, including Anne McCaffrey sharecrops (> Shared Worlds). [DP]
