Millennial Fantasy

A term which has sometimes been applied to fantasies in which the End of the World is accomplished by a return of Christ, who presides over the Last Judgement, which may be condemnatory or salvationary. As very few fantasies deal in any literal sense with this ending – though very many are shaped by considerations of Eschatology – the term is not frequently used. [JC]
