Magick

Variant spelling of Magic attributed to Aleister Crowley; it has been suggested the additional "K" was intended by him as the initial letter of the Greek word for the female genitalia. Use of the term generally implies either that magic is being practised with malign or sexual intent or that the author wishes to "mystify" her/his ideas about magic. [CB]
