Fryer, Donald S

(1934-    ) US poet and editor whose Songs and Sonnets Atlantean (coll 1971) is presented as a translation of surviving literary works from Atlantis. His nonfiction has been mostly involved with the oeuvre of Clark Ashton Smith, including the unfortunately unindexed Emperor of Dreams: A Clark Ashton Smith Bibliography (1978) and several editions of work by Smith: Poems in Prose (coll 1960), Other Dimensions (coll 1970) and Strange Shadows: The Uncollected Fiction and Essays of Clark Ashton Smith (coll 1989), the last with Steve Behrends and Rah Hoffman.
