Farrington, Geoffrey

Pseudonym of UK writer Geoffrey Smith (1955-    ). The Revenants (1983) is an exercise in Vampire existentialism similar in spirit to Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire (1976). The Acts of the Apostates (1990), is a vivid historical fantasy set in Rome and Judea in the time of Nero: the hero is unwillingly involved with the arcane Prophecies of Nabaim. GF edited The Dedalus Book of Roman Decadence: Emperors of Debauchery (anth 1993). [BS]
