Dunn, [Mrs] Gertrude

(1884-1949) UK writer whose three fantasy novels – Unholy Depths (1926), The Mark of the Bat (1928) and So Forever (1929) – deal respectively with Ghosts, Vampires and the Elixir of Life. She has frequently been confused with a quite different Mrs Gertrude Dunn (1855-1926), née Renton, who wrote as Mrs Baillie-Weaver, Gertrude Renton Weaver and G Colmore, under the latter name writing the Occult Fantasy A Brother of the Shadow (1926).
