Dot Movies

A series of Australian children's live-action/Animated Movies of fantasy interest less because of their plots than because the main characters – notably Dot, a young girl – are Toons operating in a live-action world. The series includes Dot and the Kangaroo (1976), Dot and Santa Claus (1979; vt Around the World with Dot; vt Dot Around the World), Dot and the Bunny (1982), Dot and the Whale (1985) Dot and the Koala (1986), Dot and Keeto (1986) and Dot and the Smugglers (1987). In general, the earlier in the series the better the movie, although none are dire. [JG]
