(1959-    ) US writer and Game designer who began publishing genre-related work with the role-playing game The Creature that Ate Sheboygan (1979); he went on to design over two dozen published games, five times winning the Origins Award. His first fiction was "They Want Our Women!" (Abo 1988). Another Day, Another Dungeon (1990) is a humorous Arabian Fantasy. By the Sword (1993) is a Heroic Fantasy. Sequels to both volumes have been announced. The latter novel is unusual in having first (1991) been serialized, in shorter form, on the computer service Prodigy. [GF]
