Circus

Circuses are quite frequent settings for fantasies (especially Dark Fantasies), Supernatural Fictions and Horror stories. Although the details of the backdrop they offer differ from those of the carnival, in essence the two venues are interchangeable, so the main discussion is under Carnival. [JG]
